Collection: ONENESS

“Shivisi Hashem L’negdi Samid” - “I place Hashem before me always” Tehillim 16:8

Moshe Gersht, in his book, It’s All The Same To Me, expounds upon what it means to live a life of Hishtavus, a transformational way of accepting reality. He brings down from the  Arizal and others that the word Shivisi, I place, shares the same root as Shaveh which means the same. With this explanation, Shivisi Hashem L’negdi Samid can be understood as all that transpires in my life, big or small, painful or joyful, challenging or bliss, is all the same; the Oneness of Hashem before me.
